On Friday, 24th July, our parish community joined the family of Seminarian Seth Odero in a joyful Home Mass as he prepared to begin a new chapter in his vocation. Seth is set to join the Diocese in September to begin his formation for the Diocesan Priesthood, and the celebration was a fitting occasion to thank God for His guidance and to seek His blessings upon this important step.
The Holy Mass was celebrated by our Parish Priest, Fr. Shadrach Malo, who encouraged the faithful to continue praying for seminarians and all those discerning God's call. He reminded the Christian community that every vocation is a gift from God that should be nurtured through prayer, encouragement, and unwavering support.
The celebration brought together family members, relatives, friends, parishioners, and many well-wishers in an atmosphere of joy, thanksgiving, and Christian fellowship. A special feature of the occasion was the presence of the parents of the other four seminarians from our parish, whose attendance demonstrated the strong bond that exists among families blessed with vocations. Their participation was a beautiful sign of unity and mutual support, encouraging one another as their sons continue responding generously to God's call.
The faithful united in prayer for Seminarian Seth Odero, entrusting his future to the Lord as he prepares to begin his diocesan formation this September. They prayed that God would grant him wisdom, perseverance, humility, and the courage to remain faithful throughout his journey towards the priesthood.
The Home Mass concluded with joyful fellowship as those present shared in the celebration and thanked God for the gift of vocation within our parish. The occasion strengthened the faith of the Christian community and inspired many to continue praying for an increase in priestly and religious vocations.
As a parish, we congratulate Seminarian Seth Odero on this significant milestone and assure him of our continued prayers as he prepares to join the Diocese this September. May the Lord continue to guide and strengthen him so that he may one day become a holy and dedicated diocesan priest, serving God's people with love and compassion.
